NEW PATIENTS

Your first visit

Regular dental check-ups and preventive care are essential for maintaining good oral health and preventing problems from becoming more serious. It is important to schedule appointments with a dentist even if there is no apparent problem. During these appointments, the dentist can detect and treat any early signs of dental problems before they become more severe and require invasive treatment.

Establishing a good relationship with a dentist is crucial for effective dental care. It is important for patients to feel comfortable and trust their dentist, so they can openly discuss any concerns or issues they may have. Dentists can also provide education on good oral hygiene practices and offer advice on how to maintain healthy teeth and gums.

In cases where patients have had negative experiences with dentists in the past, it may be helpful to find a dentist who is patient and understanding, and who can work with the patient to address any fears or concerns they may have. Building a relationship of trust with a dentist can help patients feel more comfortable and confident in seeking dental care, which ultimately leads to better oral health.

During this time, the dentist will review the patient’s medical history, conduct a thorough oral examination, and discuss any concerns or questions the patient may have.

The dentist may also take x-rays or other diagnostic tests to get a better understanding of the patient’s oral health.

Based on the findings of the examination and the patient’s goals for their dental health, the dentist will create a customized treatment plan that may involve multiple appointments over a period of time.

The dentist will also discuss the costs of the treatment and any payment options that may be available.

Overall, the first appointment is an essential step in building a relationship of trust and establishing a plan for ongoing oral health care.

In our practice, we faithfully follow a protocol for each of our new patients
